Introduction: GCSE Biology
This is a very useful site for teachers of GCSE Biology. It is the work of Dr Richard Steane whose dedication and enthusiasm for using the web for free learning material within his beloved subject area is immediately apparent. Dr Steane has produced good-looking resource sheets to support the Edexcel syllabus in particular, and includes some of Edexcel's own material. Some units offer extra options for practical activities, suggested links to other websites, and there are some laughs to be had in the Howlers Contents Page. This site will clearly be developed in direct response to user feedback, so say what you want to see for next year's
classes.

A great site, only recently launched, offering Physics, Chemistry and Biology at Key Stages 3, 4 and above. It is well set out, with colour coded routes through each e_source (electronic resource) and extension pages if required. Much of the content is arranged to present the user with increasing levels of detail/difficulty as required. The periodic table, for example, is excellent. You can print it out or delve into it more deeply. Downloadable teachers' notes (PDF files) are being trialled and added to all the time.
