Pigs: 'Pigs.org'
PIGS, a sanctuary is an accredited sanctuary by The Association of Sanctuaries, Inc. (TAOS). TAOS works to improve the quality of life for captive animals by: advocating the elimination of the surplus captive animal problem; providing education about the needs of captive animals; referring people and organizations, who are in need of placing rescued animals, to TAOS approved sanctuaries; assisting in the rescue of native and non-native wildlife, as well as animals commonly found on farms, and the placement of these animals in TAOS approved sanctuaries; identifying sanctuaries which adhere to TAOS policies and meet or exceed TAOS standards of animal care; providing support, guidance and assistance to sanctuaries.
