Hearing Loss: Association in Aid of Deaf People
RAD is a charity committed to meeting the individual needs of people affected by deafness. Its services include advocacy, chaplaincy, counselling, information, interpreting, leisure facilities and support groups. Through the network of Deaf Centres, it provides drop-in facilities for the elderly, specialists groups for those who are deafblind and those with special needs, support groups for families and leisure facilities.

Hearing Loss: National Deaf Children's Society
NDCS is a major organisation, established in 1944, working with over 70,000 Deaf and hard of hearing children and their families as well as carers & professionals in the U.K.. They offer advice, advocacy, counselling, training and information on childhood deafness, and produce a quarterly magazine TALK packed with news, views and features for parents and professionals.

Handspeak is an amazing online visual dictionary for sign language. There is a manual alphabet along with whole words which can be searched alphabetically or by category, different signs and features.

Hearing Loss: British Sign Language
This is a teach yourself sign language site with lots of animated photos of signed words and phrases. It is becoming fairly comprehensive and will be of interest if you are a BSL beginner, however the photos do not show facial expression which lets it down.

Hearing Loss: British Deaf History Society
The objectives of the British Deaf History Society are to foster interest in and encourage the study of Deaf history, to encourage the preservation of records and materials of historic value related to Deaf people and to produce publications in connection with Deaf History.
