Examination Boards: ABC Awards
The Awarding Body Consortium was formed by four of the country's leading examinations and assessment organisations - CENTRA, EMFEC, AOSEC (formerly SRCET) and SWAFET - and brings together the experience of each partner into a single awarding body. ABC is recognised by the government as an awarding body whose qualifications meet the criteria applied by QCA (Qualifications Curriculum Authority) and are accepted by the LSC (Learning and Skills Council) as eligible for funding support. The national operation of ABC is supported through four regional offices based in Chorley, Nottingham, Reading and Taunton.
